TWIT-TEAR
TWIT-TEAR is a sterile solution for ophthalmic use with physiological pH, and does not contain preservative.
TWIT-TEAR contains 2 lubricants: sodium hyaluronate and Hypromellose.
Sodium hyaluronate is used for its moisturizing and lubricating action, which counteracts dry eyes and creates a film that protects the corneal endothelium from external agents and from damage by free radicals. Hypromellose is a polymer with muco-mimetic properties which can stabilize the tear film on the surface of the cornea by creating a protective, transparent and viscoelastic shield.
Sodium hyaluronate is a molecule that is already naturally present in the human body where constant lubrication is needed (such as cartilage, skin, and tear film) and therefore bio-compatible. This lubricant, together with Hypromellose, offers intense and long-lasting moisture on the ocular surface.
The lubricants attract and retain water from the environment and form a lubricating shield on the surface of the eye. As this viscous shield releases water progressively, TWIT-TEAR provides a prolonged hydration of the eyes.
In addition, TWIT-TEAR contains a mix of natural ingredients.
Chamomile is known for its soothing and refreshing properties and is therefore indicated to relieve soreness and redness of the eyes mucosa caused by atmospheric agents and environmental factors. Aloe Vera is known for its moisturising and bacteriostatic properties, while Rose Hips for its vitaminizing and refreshing properties. The Black Bilberry is known for its protective action of retinal mucosa and is indicated for the treatment of the fatigued eye.
The TWIT-TEAR acts a humectant and lubricant action on the ocular surface, relieving redness, fatigue and discomfort of the eyes and ocular mucosa caused by environmental factors (wind, smoke, pollution, prolonged exposure to sunlight, sea salt and water) and prolonged use of the computer, it also acts against dry eye syndrome. It also ensures relief from ophthalmic stress due to the use of eye lenses and surgery at ocular surface level.
In addition, the eye drops have an optimal viscosity that makes the device especially useful to facilitate the application or removal of contact lenses, avoiding troublesome eye redness phenomena, above all in adults in which an imbalance of the tear film can more easily occur.
