TWIT-TEAR XP
“TWIT-TEAR XP” is a sterile solution for ophthalmic use with a physiological pH, containing sodium hyaluronate and distilled waters of ginkgo biloba, bilberry, fennel and centella. The solution is dispensed in practical 10 ml multi dose with a preservative free closure system.
Sodium hyaluronate provides to the product mucomimetic and viscoelastic properties such as to ensure adequate lubrication of the ocular surface, protecting it from friction caused by eye movements.
Furthermore, the polymer is able to retain water and simultaneously interact with the ocular epithelium. For this reason the solutions is able to maintain the ocular surface humidified and increase the stability of pre-corneal tear film that protects the surface from environmental agents.
Ginkgo biloba distilled water in the context of the formulation improves long distance visual acuity, relieves fatigue and redness of the eyes and ocular mucous membrane. Ginkgo biloba distilled water together with centella distilled water, are used for a particular useful ability to adjuvant in processes to reduce the irritation.
Bilberry distilled water in the context of the formulation is used for refreshing properties: it gives relief to tired eyes and acts as a protection for the ocular mucosa against atmospheric agents and environmental factors.
Fennel distilled water is commonly used in ocular diseases to soothing a burning sensation and together with bilberry distilled water is used for a repairing action.
These vegetable components used in the formulation as distilled waters, in the context of the formulation exert a soothing, refreshing and protective.
The formula contains also Sodium Chloride and two buffers agents (boric acid and sodium tetraborate decahydrate) to guarantee a physiological solution.
Therefore, “TWIT-TEAR XP” performs a moisturizing and lubricating action on the ocular surface and gives a temporary relief of burning, irritation and discomfort due to dryness of the eye. The ocular drops can be used as a protectant against further irritation.
“TWIT-TEAR XP can be used by contact lens wearers without the need of removing them.
INTENDED USE
Repairing and protective ocular drops indicated to refreshing, soothing and lubricating action for dry eyes or in cases of irritation of the eye or the ocular mucosa due to:
– environmental factors (air conditioned, excessive exposure to solar radiation, wind, smoke, pollution).
– dryness of the eyes due to excessive fatigue caused by working on the computer for lengthy periods, study or dry eye syndrome.
– ophthalmic stress following surface eye surgery.
– wearing of contact lenses many hours a day.
